While Fredy Montero raised his hands in triumph after scoring the equalizer in the first half of Saturday's 2-1 win over the Dynamo, Houston head coach Dominic Kinnear could only raise his hands in disgust.
To him it was clear: the ball did not cross the goal line.
“I know for a fact it wasn’t in and I know for a fact that the linesman was out of position," Kinnear said. "And I know for a fact that it was the same guy that called a goal on us two years ago at Salt Lake and it wasn’t even close to a goal. So I know he’s wrong and I’m sure he’ll watch it and know he’s made a mistake, but it’s too late.”

Subsequent replays proved inconclusive as Houston defender Mike Chabala appeared to clear the ball near the goal line. The goal probably could have gone either way.
Montero, who may have had the best angle on the play, wasn't sure if the ball had crossed the line or not.
“I had diagonal position, everything happened very quick," Montero said through an interpreter. "My first reaction was just to raise my arm and celebrate.”
Nothing can be changed at this point and the goal gives Montero five in a row in the last five games with nine total.
