
Seattle Sounders soundly defeated the USL PDL Kitsap Pumas yesterday at Starfire in a Reserve match. I heard it was 7 nil but it was reported as being 6 nil but that is not the story here.
The story is that the Pumas actually played a reserve match against the reserves of one of the top clubs in MLS right now. In addition, the Pumas, who are playing their first year, have captured the hearts and imagination of local soccer fans in the area.

The club has drawn up to 2,000 fans for home matches. For those of you that were not able to attend yesterday's reserve match, here are some of the sights and sounds from from the match. SFI TV talks to some of the fans and folks associated with this grass roots soccer club.

The Kitsap Soccer Club is owned and operated by Kitsap resident, Mr. Robin Waite. Mr. Waite is a life-long soccer fan, a former co-owner of the USL D1 Seattle Sounders and widely known for his expertise in stadium development and construction. The Kitsap Soccer Club is his first effort as a primary owner.
