SEAHAWKS: Former Saints long snapper signs with Seattle

UPDATE: Seattle's long search for a long snapper may have finally come to an end. Former Saints long snapper Kevin Houser, who was cut in June, signed with the Seahawks today, according to The Seattle Times.

In eight seasons in the NFL, Houser has never thrown a bad snap, and before his release, he was the longest tenured player on the Saints roster.

The only long snapper currently on the roster is Bryan Pittman, who spent the past six seasons as the long snapper in Houston.

Houser was involved in a recent failed investment in the Louisiana movie tax credit program, which lost about $2 million for 16 Saints players, including HC Sean Payton and QB Drew Brees. Houser, himself, invested $125,000, which he has not gotten back.
