SOUNDERS FC: Column: Top five Sounders hotties

Muy Caliente!

Not to come across sexist or stereotypical, especially toward my own kind, but, being a girl, I was never really drawn to the whole sports thing.

I mean I played a few sports in high school sure, but to actually sit down and turn to FSN or ESPN or one of the “N” channels to watch a game was never on my list of daily must-dos.

However, I recently shacked up with my boyfriend and two other dudes for about 10 months. And in those 10 months I discovered I can not only survive sitting through a game, but that I actually enjoy watching it!

To Continue...

Of course I began watching the games because of the players. I had no idea about plays, technique, skill and all that. I was just interested in who had the best ASSests.

But after watching some 20 games of various Seattle sports I began to understand and respect the players and the game itself. It was like a learning experience complete with beer, pizza and testosterone. Of course I’m only starting to become a sports spectator so my knowledge (which is limited) only goes as far as Seattle sports.

Remaining true to my female urges, however, I created a list throughout my sports-learning experience of the top 5 Sounders FC hotties and what makes them so irresistible to women (and men):

#5. Drew Carry

Alonso strikes a pose for the
cameras during a corner kick

This man not only co-owns the Sounders, but is now the host of the ever-awesome Price Is Right. Any man who has unlimited access to blenders, china sets, money, cars, and exotic trips, AND has the power to allocate these items is pretty hot.

#4 Osvaldo Alonso

Alonso seems to be a bit of a badass, and is very skilled at recovering and maintaining possession of the ball. He basically owns the midfield.

#3 Fredy Montero

Montero also leads Seattle in goals, including Wednesday’s and Saturday's unassisted goals, AND he speaks Spanish. Muy caliente!

Well hello, Freddie!

#2. Kasey Keller

A balding but beautiful keeper who is not afraid to speak his mind and take control when players are out of position. Yay for authority!

#1. Freddie Ljungberg

Is this really a surprise at all? Let’s just ignore the fact that Mr. Ljungberg looks great in a pair of boxer briefs (and I think even straight men will agree with this), but Freddie also has plenty of veteran moves from playing for Arsenal in the English Premier League to whoop up on some MLS upstarts.
