Phase one, complete.
Now that the Seattle Mariners have taken the series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, they will head to New York to try and play like how they did during today’s 4-2 matinee win.
The first of the Seattle’s four runs came from a base hit by Franklin Gutierrez to score Jose Lopez in the first inning.

Later on, in the third inning was an Adrian Beltre RBI single to bring in Ichiro Suzuki. Following that was a double by Lopez that flew just over center fielder Matt Kemp’s head to lead Rusell Branyan and Adrian Beltre home.
The Dodgers finally scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the fifth when Kemp knocked in a solo home run followed by a sacrifice fly by Andre Ethier to answer the call for the game’s last run.
This was, sadly, Adrian Beltre’s last game before the Tuesday surgery.
Final: Seattle 4, Los Angeles 2
WP: Garret Olson (3-2)
LP: Hiroki Kuroda (2-4)
SV: David Aardsma (16)
