SEAHAWKS: Reading the field



There's no mini camp and the draft is well into the past. So what are Seahawks fans to do in the lead-up to training camp? Reflect on the past of course.

In the conclusion to its Ranking the Squads series, Dave Krieg's Strike Beard lists the 2005 squad as the greatest team in 'Hawks history.

The joy we felt after the NFC Championship Game hasn't faded into oblivion, and the pain of XL won't completely dissolve until a Seahawk is holding the Lombardi Trophy skyward during a confetti blizzard.

As the only Seattle squad to make the Super Bowl, it's hard to argue with the selection. It was a great year to be a 'Hawks fan, so long as you forget that Super Bowl.
