MARINERS: Twins hand M's fifth straight loss

-
The Mariners have a recent trend of making mediocre pitchers look like aces. It was Scott Baker's turn Friday.

The Minnesota Twins' fifth starter threw seven scoreless innings to beat the Mariners 11-0 in the Metrodome.

To continue...

With Friday's shutout loss, the Mariners have now lost five in a row and have scored just nine runs in that stretch.

They managed just five hits against the Twins, all coming off the previously winless Baker.

Chris Jakubauskas allowed nine runs in 4 1/3 innings. In two starts since his brillian two-hit loss to the Chicago White Sox on April 28, he has allowed 13 runs in 8 2/3 innings.
