MARINERS: Seattle blows 8-1 lead

Mariners starter Garrett Olson cruised through the first five innings allowing just one run on two hits but struggled mightily in the sixth.

Down 8-to-1 the Angels scored four times off Olson before he was relieved by Miguel Batista. The Angels scored again in the seventh to make it 8-6. Seattle tried desperately to build on their lead in the eighth with a runner on third twice but both Ichiro Suzuki and Adrian Beltre were gunned down at home.

Closer David Aardsma, trying for his third consecutive save in-a-row, was out of gas. After walking Maicer Izturis Aardsma got Willie Aybar to fly out to left, Chone Figgins walked, then Bobby Abreu flied out to left, just like Aybar, then it all fell apart.

Vladimir Guerrero, who it seems can hit anything, doubled to right scoring Izturis and moving Figgins to third. Outfielder Torri Hunter, who had already homered in the game, was intentionally walked. Aardsma lost Juan Rivera, walking in the tying run and Kendry Morales finshed Aardsma off when he singled to right for the walk-off victory.

Both Endy Chavez, and Suzuki hit solo home runs and Chavez stole base number eight and Beltre stole his sixth base of the season.

Guillermo Quiroz, in his first start of the season was 1-for-4 with two RBI a strikeout and a sacrifice.
