Speaking to Mike Sando, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell talked about West coast teams traveling east to play their dreaded 10 a.m. games.

"We have not seen specific information to show us that there is an advantage," Goodell said.

Meanwhile, East coast teams will never have to play a the Raiders or Chargers in the same year or the Seahawks and 49'ers the same year after the leage passed a rule preventing it.

The move appears to come from the NFL's beloved Patriots, who had to play West coast teams on back-to-back weeks. Head Coach Bill Belichick made a spectacle out of the travel, practicing on the West coast for a whole week leading up to some of the games.

New England went 3-1 on their trips West.

Meanwhile, West coast teams have struggled playing 10 a.m. games after traveling thousands of miles to the East coast.

In the span of six weeks, the Seahawks flew across the country to New York, Tampa Bay and Miami, losing all three games.

In 2007 the playoff bound Seahawks also had trouble winning on the East Coast, dropping games against the lowly Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.
