SEAHAWKS: Houshmandzadeh chats it up on NFL.com

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh's presence is already being felt in Seattle, a city that is normally shunned by the popular media, especially when it comes to the Seahawks.

Today at 1 p.m. NFL.com hosted a live Q&A chat session with Seattle's new star wideout. Below is a summarized version of the chat

UPDATE: also look for Houshmandzadeh on NFL Network today at 4 p.m. Pacific.

Houshmandzadeh really disliked the Bengals' front office. On their push to retain him:
They were persistent, but it wasn't persistent with good intentions, in my opinion. They weren't as persistent as it has been reported that they were.
Speaking for Bengals famed WR Chad Johnson:
Chad wants to leave too.
Houshmandzadeh made sure Hasselbeck would be healthy before signing with Seattle:
I talked to him specifically about his back. He said that his back feels better than it ever has. He's been working with a guy in Canada to strengthen his back and core section. It was reassuring.
On how Houshmandzadeh's style will jive with Deion Branch and Nate Burleson:
I'm not sure. You don't know who is going to play what. Deion is very quick, very slippery. He's smaller than us, very good at running with the ball in his hands. Nate and I are about the same size. He gets down the field well.

I'll know more when I get to watch in practice and seeing what they do well. I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun.
Houshmandzadeh thinks he's more than a possession receiver:
I can be a possession receiver. I think I"m a complete receiver -- I can do whatever a coach wants me to do. But in Cincy, that's what they wanted me to do. The coaches in Cincy were just asking me to do that. But now we'll see who assessed the talent correctly -- me or them.
He looks forward to the 12th man and its silence while he's on the field:
I remember it being loud, but you kind of try to block it out. You don't pay attention to it that much. I do remember that we were backed up there, and it hurt my ears. But it is tough for the linemen.
