Hey guys. Pissed about losing the Sonics? Depressed from a terrible Seattle football season with the Huskies going winless and the Seahawks underperforming? Well Seattle recently acquired a new team – for the Lingerie Football League.
They’re called the Seattle Mist.
You may have seen them on pay-per-view during half time of the super bowl, where they gained enough popularity to increase the league from four to ten teams. Think cheerleaders playing football (only the Mist will have their own cheerleaders).

Seattle may have the tamest team name out of the league, with the New England Euphoria and San Diego Seduction, but names don’t really matter when the teams take the field.
That’s because when they march onto the turf, they come dressed in skimpy two-piece outfits, with colors matching their respective NFL teams.
One might expect these teams to play soft or even two-hand touch. Not in this league. The women play their damnedest on defense, gang-tackling the other players much like Lofa Tatupu and the Seahawks.
The Mist has formed their team, with players from exotic locations such as Moldova, Indonesia and Brazil. However, the league is still in the early stages of forming and no arena has been set for the Mist to play in.
The league debuts Sept. 9 (9-9-09 for those of you who need a mnemonic device to remember).
