SEAHAWKS: Damn those Cardinals

_
I know we don't want to talk about it, but we need to talk about it because they're in our division. The Arizona Cardinals won again beating the Carolina Panthers 33-13 today in Carolina.

I hate to say it, but this Cardinals team reminds me of the Seahawks team that went to the Super Bowl in 2005. They have a great offense combined with a solid and opportunistic defense.

Terry Bradshaw said he wasn't going to pick against the Cardinals again, and we shouldn't either. This team is for real.

The one good thing is it validates the NFC West. We lost both times to the Cardinals 20-26 and 21-34--both close games.

I was all set to talk about how the winning teams this playoffs had a great offensive line and defense, and the Seahawks needed the same. All because I want the Hawks to take a left tackle with their first pick in the draft. So selfish of me.

To continue...

Maybe it's the Boundary Bay talking, but we may need a playmaker on the level of Larry Fitzgerald. (Michael Crabtree?) At any rate, the Cardinals finally reached the level the "talking heads" have been saying they'd reached the past four years.

We knew they had a good offense, but that defense really is getting good. Players like Darnell Dockett, Karlos Dansby and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are young and ready to make plays for years to come.

Their main shortcoming is an old quarterback in Kurt Warner. Matt Leinart just hasn't proven himself.

Despite all this, the Hawks are still due a big comeback next year. Fear it Cardinals. FEAR IT!!!
